You CAN however Clone and Migrate with the Essentials system (which is essentially doing a insitu Backup). And by moving VM Images between the different machines you get the redundancy generally required by a backup system.
You can, I am sure, spend more money and get additional capabilities, but for a small install the Essentials Kit works quite well.
