Continuum has it working fine with 6.5.4, not me. I have an XP 4 gig 32 bit machine currently running another copy of 6.5.5 to run our old Windows 2000 server that runs software we cannot move, but I haven't tried Windows 8 on that host. I've only used Workstation 8 current. In that case, I selected Windows 7 64 and it took care of everything by itself. I've run Windows 8 as a guest for a year, first the betas, and now the RTM. The only strange behavior that I have seen is once in a while the touch screen gets glitchy on the host when I'm running the Windows 8 guest. Once I exit the Windows 8 guest, the problem disappears. The OEM has a new touch screen driver for Windows 8, but I haven't installed because I'm going to move the host to Windows 8. According to Microsoft, if I update the host to Windows 8, I will have problems with Workstation 8, but the cure, again according to Microsoft, is to simply re-install Workstation 8 after the upgrade. I know others have not been able to get even Workstation 7 to work with Windows 8, but Continuum has played with Workstation more than most, so it would be no great shock to me if he has method to get it working with 6.5.4.
