SNMP Trap question

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for taking a look at my question...

I am setting up some SNMP monitoring for ESXi 4.1 hosts.  This is NOT a configuration question.  I have SNMP up and running correctly and I have the MIBs loaded correctly (I think).  I am receiving traps from my hosts that I can not decipher.  I have tried to find information on the Internet but, Google has failed me!

Here's one of the traps that I'm getting:

Enterprise: .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.4.1 Generic Type: 6 Specific Type: 4 Variable Bindings: .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.50.101: 1 , .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.50.102: /vmfs/volumes/4b8f876a-b66b5681-6a40-0026b95d1645/RES008/RES008.vmx , .1.3.6.1.4.1.6876.2.1.1.2.1: RES008

I have been able to determine that this comes from the VMINFO mib but, not what it means.  I think the real question is What does "Specific Type: 4" mean.  There are also Specific Type 1-3.  I figured out that it has something to with the power state of the VM listed above and it shows the .vmx file.

What I'm looking for is how to determine what the Specific Type means for the VMWARE-VMINFO-mib.

Thanks Again!
