Hi Ender1981,

If cost is a major factor for your company, may I suggest taking a look at PHD Virtual Backup http://www.phdvirtual.com/ .  PHD Virtual Backup is simply a virtual appliance that will always be a software only, no extra hardware will ever be required.  You will be able to backup all of your VM's with options for multiple restore methods such as Rollback Recovery, Instant VM Restore and file level restore.  Replication is also built into the product and that will recreate a replica VM from your backup data so there is no impact to the production environment.  The feature which I think you will find interesting is the PHD Virtual Exporter, this is a small appliance that will take your backups (which are deduplicated and compressed) and export them into an OVF.  In the event of a total disaster (fingers crossed that never occurs) you will be able to simply import the OVF's back into vSphere without any additional software!  There is a fully functional trial available on the website as well as plenty of documentation and videos.  Good luck with setting up your DR strategy!
