I haven't seen any reports of it working, but the thunderbolt is just a PCIe bus as far as ESX is concerned. You would need a thunderbolt attached array that uses a raid controller that has a driver that works under esx. As cool as the drobo mini looks I really don't think it'll work direct attached to the esx box because there is nothing close to it on the hcl. You might have better luck with a promise based solution, but you'll still need to ID the controller used in the raid box and find a working driver for esx based on its controller device-id and its closest living relatives on the hcl.
