Re: .vmx is not a valid virtual machine configuration file

It looks like a couple of files are kind of corrupted (i.e. contain binary zeroes). Anyway, to be able to recreate the virtual disk's .vmdk file, please provide some details you remember. What's important is to know whether the virtual disk has initially been created with 100GB or whether it was created with a smaller size and resized/grown later on?

What I recommend at this point - unless you already did this - is to backup all the VMs current files to be able to revert in case something goes wrong!
