Since installing VCM, I've been having issues getting the plug-in for VCM to register with my vSphere server.
For Server URL, I'm entering https://vsphereservername/sdk
Entering my domain admin credentials
URL to Configuration Xml is http://collectorname/VCVPAnon/Xml/vSphereClientVCMPlugin.XML
The collector server is using a signed certificate from our internal CA. The vSphere server has only the default cert that came with the installation.
When I click OK to register, I get the following error:
Create Service Reference
Connect
admin username
Caught Exception
Name : WebException
Message : The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
I know I'm using the right credentials and the server names are correct. I was eventually planning on getting signed certs from our internal CA to replace the default certs on our vSphere server and our ESXi hosts. For the purposes of registering the plugin to vSphere, is the default cert the problem on the vSphere server, or am I missing something in getting this registered properly?
Thanks,
Craige
