Migrating Data Centers (MSCS VMs with RDMs) - How to?

All, we are migrating VMs from one location to another.  New vCenter and all in the new environment.  We had some standalone VMs that had Physical Compatibility Mode RDMs attached.  For us to Storage vMotion, we had to powe off the VM, convert them to Virtual Compatibility Mode RDMs, and then migrate them.  We could also change them to VMDKs at that point if we wanted to.

The issue is;

We haev several SQL and Oracle MS Clusters with P-RDMs attached.  We need to migrate them to the other data center.  I assume this is the process;

1. Power off both VMs

2. Remove RDM(s) from subordinate VM

3. Remove RDM(s) from disk from primary VM

4. Add RDM(s) as V-RDM to Primary VM

5. Add RDM(s) as V-RDM to Subordinate VM

7. Storage vMotion Primary VM to new Data Center (storage targets are presented as iSCSI but physically connected to new farm as FC)

8. Remove Primary VM from inventory

9. Add Primary VM to inventory at new site

My question lies in the other node of the MSCS cluster.  Does vCenter physically manage the paths to the RDMs when it sees that we SvMotuoned them?  I don't have to manually re-point them, correct?

And another.  When creating an V-RDM via Storage vMotion across the WAN, I assume the datastores have to be presented the same way / size as to the original site?

Any help would be great.

- Kris
