Ok, currently I have 3 esx 4.1 hosts and vcenter 4.1
2 hosts are being retired and I am adding another.
I just upgraded my vsphere 4 essentials license (6 cpu) to essentials plus to be able to have vmotion.
I am about to build the new host. I was hoping to build it 4.1, get vmotion working, etc And at some other point, upgrade to 5.
The newly upgraded licenses technically say 5.0 and is probably why license key willl not work on the 4.1 install.
What path should I follow here to get new host added to environment in and get vmotion working? Do I have to get everything to 5 first?
