Unable to Restore Saved VM

Hi,

I'm having an odd problem. I have a VM which has suddenly developed a problem where when I save it the save apparently works, but when I try and restore I get the error "The saved memory file XXXXXXXXXX.vmem is corrupt and cannot be restored. An error occurred while restoring the virtual machine state from file XXXXXXXXXX.vmss".

If I discard the saved state, delete the vmem, vmss and nvram files the VM starts again with no problems, but the problem recurs.

It only affects one VM - I have several other VMs which still save and restore fine with no problems.

The only change I've made recently was to upgrade the VM RAM setting from 2Gb to 4GB. However, I've put it back to 2GB and I'm still getting the problem.

My log file and the .vmx file are attached. The host machine run Windows 7-64, and the guest runs XP. I'm using Workstation 8.0.5

Any ideas on how I can restore the proper save/restore behaviour for this VM?

Thanks

Andrew
